Training

Programs, logging and the small things that make a session run smoothly.

Skill Focus Splits

11 advanced skills, each as a 5-day rotation: foundation, balance, mobility, legs, skill rehearsal. Plus a 5-day strength split, per-skill calibration tests, and the adaptive 10-week Foundations cycle for total beginners. Designed around specific outcomes — not random WODs. More on splits →

Foundations for beginners

Two questions pick your track. Starting from zero? Foundations gives you five parallel paths — push, pull, squat, hinge, core — each with its own progression, from wall push-ups to full pull-ups. The app places you at a step from your answers and recommends the next one after you hit the top rep target with clean form twice in a row. More on Foundations →

Equipment Mode

Tell the app what you own — a bar, rings, bands, weight, parallettes — and sessions stick to what you can train right now. When a step needs gear you don't have, the app shows what would unlock it.

Set as Focus

Pick a skill as your focus and the strength split adapts. Pull Day's main work — Pull-Ups, Rows, Knee Raises — swaps for back-lever progressions matched to your calibration tier. Same duration, biased toward what you're chasing.

Recalibrate anytime

Life doesn't stand still, and neither does your baseline. Every one of the 11 skill families — muscle-up, back lever, front lever, planche, handstand, press to handstand, elbow planche, human flag, Hefesto, one-arm pull-up, V-sit/Manna — has its own dedicated calibration test with 3-4 unique movements. Not four hold-progressions of the same shape: strength, mobility, grip and load each get their own signal. That's how the app tells strength-limited apart from mobility-limited. Re-run any calibration whenever you plateau, return after time away from training, or feel your prescriptions have drifted from what you can actually do. The whole plan re-tunes off the new result.

Form cues for every exercise

Each exercise comes with clear written cues, plus one-tap YouTube and Google links if you want to see a tutorial. No guessing how the move should feel.

72 achievements to unlock

From your first pull-up to your first full planche. Achievements span bodyweight ladders (Pull-Up 1 → 20, Dips 1 → 50), hold milestones (L-sit, plank, dead hang), skill firsts (muscle-up, lever, V-sit, Hefesto), consistency streaks, calibration completions, and 16 elite top-of-ladder unlocks that fire when you crush the top step of a family or picked skill. Each unlock is shareable to Instagram Stories.

Streaks & weekly goals

Set a weekly training target and build a streak. The boring secret of calisthenics: showing up consistently.

Build your own programs

Create new programs from scratch using any exercise in the library. Pick your moves, set the reps, sets, and rest intervals, and save it alongside the guided programs.

Hold timer with pre-roll

Static skills get a configurable countdown before the timer starts (Off / 3s / 5s / 10s) so the seconds spent kicking into position don't eat into your goal. Stop the timer mid-hold, the seconds commit to the set automatically.

Browse mid-workout

The active workout lives in a sheet over the tab bar. Minimise to check Stats, peek at next week's programs, or switch your weight unit — then tap the mini-player to slide back in.

Add-on sessions

15 standalone, right-sized programs plug into any week — 15-minute shoulder sessions, 25-40 minute strength work (Core Foundations, Posterior Chain), skill-practice sessions. Short sessions stay short; strength work runs a full 40 minutes because it needs the time. After a workout, the app suggests add-ons that complement what you just trained.

Apple Health integration

Every completed workout writes to Apple Health as a Functional Strength Training session — so your rings, history, and trends all stay in sync. Calorie estimates use your body mass when available.

Sign in with Apple or Google

One tap to sign in with either provider. No passwords, no email lists, no spam. Add the second method later so the same account is reachable from both. Your data stays yours.

Training that adapts

The background work of a good coach: reading your sessions and recommending what comes next.

Your next milestone, named

The next step on your skill's roadmap is on Home before you train: "Working toward: Pseudo Planche Push-Up · about 5 sessions away". Reach it and a celebration names the next one, so there's always something to train for. See every progression →

Adaptive recovery

Every fourth week is a deload: rep targets drop 20%, sets stay the same, and a banner explains why the week feels lighter. Your first session back after 7+ days away starts with softer targets, then you're back to normal. Skill Focus Splits run 4-week mesocycles (intro → build → peak → deload). Rate each set easy, hard-but-good or max effort: log max effort and your target holds for the next session instead of going up. More on deload cycles →

Progress tracking and history

Track reps, sets, hold times and weights; auto-progression raises your rep target after a clean set and suggests the next variant when one gets too easy. Every exercise you log gets its own timeline in Stats. Tap a movement and see your top set, estimated 1RM, and volume trend rendered as a Swift Charts line graph. A training heatmap shows density week over week, and a skill-progression view lays out where you are on every family ladder. This is your training log the way you'd have kept it in a notebook — but searchable, deduped, and never lost.

Coach (BETA)

Film a handstand or planche hold straight from the set row. Coach gives form and technique feedback and a plain-English note on what to try next. It runs on your iPhone: the video never leaves it. More on Coach →

Athlete Profile

Stats-tab hero showing your calisthenics identity: overall tier (Newcomer through Elite), archetype (Presser, Puller, Grounded, Anchor, Static Athlete, Generalist), and a strength/growth callout across five movement families plus every skill you've calibrated. Not a Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced switch — a real multi-dimensional read on where you are.

Session intelligence

After you save a workout, a short intelligence pane summarizes what actually happened: shape (crushed, solid, struggled), biggest signal from the session, and what to focus on next. On iPhone 15 Pro and up the narrative runs through Apple's on-device Foundation Models — no cloud, no data shared. On older devices, a rule-based template does the same job with the same shape.

Plateau nudge

When you've been stuck at the same rep target on the same movement for too many sessions, Home surfaces a calm nudge. Two paths offered: retest the movement (in case your baseline drifted), or graduate to the next variant (the current one has stopped challenging you). No shame, no punishment — just the observation that something's stalled and a way through.

Beyond the workout

On your wrist, your Home Screen, your Lock Screen and in the days between sessions.

Apple Watch companion

Hold timers and rest countdowns on your wrist. Tap Stop on the Watch to log a set — the phone commits it automatically. Live Activity mirrors to your Watch Smart Stack, so program, exercise, and set progress are always a glance away. Series 6 or later, watchOS 26.6+.

Weekly rollup push

Sunday evening you get a single push notification: sessions completed, best hold, biggest rep milestone, streak status. One tap opens a persistent Home card with the same summary so you can revisit it during the week. Not another dopamine slot machine — just the honest weekly ledger.

Rest-day acknowledgment

Calisthenics needs rest days — but streak-shaming makes users train through them. Instead of a red "you're missing your streak" nudge, Home reads "Today is a scheduled rest day — well earned." Rest is programmed, not a failure state.

Home Screen widgets

Three sizes — Small, Medium, Large — showing your next workout, current focus, and this week's streak. Tap to jump straight into the session without opening the app first. The widget refreshes when your plan changes so what you see is what's actually next.

Live Activities

Active workout appears on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island the whole time you're training. Program name, current exercise, set progress, wall-clock timer. Peek at it between sets without unlocking. Also mirrors to Apple Watch Smart Stack if you have a paired Watch.

Your Journey feed

A persistent chronological log on the Stats tab of every milestone unlocked and every achievement earned, merged into one scroll. Month-grouped, back to your first session. Cascade bumps (crushing Advanced Tuck Planche floors your push and core too) roll up as "Also recognized" sub-rows under the parent milestone, so you see the full ripple without a wall of noise. More on Journey →

Challenges you own

Create a 7- or 30-day challenge around any movement (100 dead hang seconds, 500 push-ups, longest planche hold), invite friends via Universal Link, and every workout you complete auto-contributes. Leaderboard updates live. Runs on top of your normal training — no separate mode, no extra logging. Small dopamine loop for the days you'd otherwise skip.

Stop guessing. Start progressing.
